Admin Blogs 1 Comment

This year, on the November 20th feast of Christ the King, a hand-crafted, gold-gilded tabernacle was ceremoniously installed in the St. Joseph College Seminary chapel. It has taken the better part of a year to complete, and is the expert craftsmanship of two local Catholic artists: Jacob Wolfe of Ars Coeli studio to build the structure, and Mary Clark of Studio Magdalena to lay the paint and gold gilding―using ancient techniques dating to 2,000 years before the birth of Christ. Watch below for a description of the lovingly detailed process of this exquisite work of art made of “the finest metal on earth to house the greatest substance in the universe.”
