Today is one of celebration as we honor our five graduating seminarians!
We also celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. Our Blessed Mother has been crucial to St. Joseph College Seminary. How fitting to close this year and the graduation of our final Alphas who remain on the feast of Our Lady. The men have cultivated such a tender love for Her and we see this as one more instance of Her Maternal love for us.
It was on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows that we broke ground, water from the springs of Lourdes was mixed into the foundation of our new building, and now we send off the first full class of graduates on another joyous Marian feast.
Later this afternoon, we will be blessing the 5 graduates’ new cassocks, followed by Holy Mass at St. Ann, and then a closing dinner on the front lawn of our new seminary building. In the evening, we will be having a Fatima procession on the seminary grounds before officially closing St. Joseph College Seminary for the academic school year.
Although this is a private event, I hope you will keep our graduates in your prayers, and know that we look forward to celebrating with you as soon as safety precautions allow.
Once again, thank you for all of your prayers and support.
