The craftsmen constructing our brickwork have been very busy this week…and doing beautiful work! As we move toward the more communal and therefore celebrated part of the seminary building, the language of brick and stone becomes more elegant. The view here is the south wall of the refectory which will be our Phase I chapel. The buttresses are more articulated, and the windows receive mullions for accent.
The cloister walk is being framed out to receive the masonry for concentric pointed arches, classic for outdoor silence and meditation.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
