It was standing room only when the Diocese of Charlotte's Vicar General (Fr. Patrick Winslow) and CFO (Bill Weldon) joined our seminarians for lunch last week. The two stopped by after touring the construction site of our seminary building, where there will no doubt be room for all of our seminarians and their guests to sit down to lunch together more comfortably.
"I have been amazed at Father Kauth’s resourcefulness in housing 26 seminarians and at how gracious the seminarians have been in willingly and joyfully accepting the very cramped conditions," said Weldon. "When the seminarians move to the new facility next spring, it will be the equivalent of entering the promised land. Each seminarian will have their own room, albeit small, and there will be adequate space for prayer, dining, study, and outdoor recreation. I am sincerely grateful to the very generous benefactors who have made this vision a reality."
As you can see, things are progressing quite nicely thanks to the beautiful weather we are enjoying! God is good.
